In January 2016, George Brymer and Amy Pommeranz were the creative force behind one of the country’s largest privately held promotional product distributors. Believing there was a broader market for their unique talents, they launched The Creative Block. Their business proposition was straightforward: to design and execute eye-catching branding that effectively met their customers’ marketing needs. Amy contributed her award-winning graphic design skills, and George was the wordsmith.
Initially located in a small office in Sylvania Township, the firm moved to its Main Street studio in Downtown Sylvania in 2019. Vicky Brymer brought her extensive sales and marketing wisdom to The Creative Block in 2023.

In June 2025, Amy left to have her first child and become a stay-at-home mom. Among her creations here, she designed some of the most recognizable logos in our area for organizations including The Fair Housing Center, Lucas County Children Services, Northwestern Water and Sewer District, Chrys Peterson Consulting, Neighborhood Properties, Inc., Opta Group LLC, and Luettke Studio.
Amy’s creative insight, evident in every piece of work she produced and influenced here, continues to positively affect our projects today.
